Finally, after a long wait finally, Xiaomi has launched the much awaited Black Shark Gaming smartphone. The smartphone is considered to be a revolutionary one for the gamer. Priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs 31,100), the Xiaomi Black Shark will go on sale on April 20. As of now, it will only be available in China as nothing has been said about the international availability of the device.
The phone is already available for pre-order on JD.com until April 20, after which it will be available. Users get two color options to include Polar Night Black or Sky Gray.
The device is powered by an 18:9 5.99-inch display and boasts Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone features an “X type smart antenna” and has the dedicated “Shark” button on the left side to directly dive into the gaming mode. Users can also buy a Black Shark Game-pad to further enhance the gaming experience. The liquid cooling system is said to work in a multi-stage setup and bring the temperature down to 8-degree Celsius. For camera duties, it has a dual-rear camera setup with a 20-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor of f/1.75 aperture each. On the front, users get a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
It has Android Oreo, topped with JOY UI, which is a custom launcher that shares some of its apps with Xiaomi’s MIUI. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB. Backed by a 4000mAh battery, the Xiaomi Black Shark offers 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, AGPS, and GLONASS.
