HAARP: Secret Weapon to change Weather?

The article first published by Global Research on August 1, 2010. The article was published in the “Weather Warfare” titled Secret Weapon Used For Weather Modification, Electromagnetic Warfare. Let’s come to the point. So what’s HARRP?

HAARP: High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program. Which is an Alaska based Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska. The HAARP is little known, yet critically important U.S. military defense program which has generated quite a bit of controversy over the years in certain circles.

Basically, it is an act of Congress established the Geophysical Institute in 1946. Since that time, the institute has earned an international reputation for studying Earth and its physical environments at high latitudes. The institute now consists of seven major research units and many research support facilities. The research units include space physics and aeronomy(the study of meteorological science of the upper region of the Earth); atmospheric sciences; snow, ice, and permafrost(the study of rocks); seismology(the study of earthquakes and propagation of elastic waves); volcanology(the study of volcano); remote sensing; and tectonics(the study of the process that controls the structure and properties of earth) and sedimentation. Later in 2013, the project was closed by the military due to negative publicity.

The HARRP is researching about the ionosphere, which is above 85 to 600 kilometers above the earth’s surface. It plays an important role in transmitting radio signals. It can be used to understand and to enhance communications and surveillance. The program has been funded by the Air Force, the Navy, the University of Alaska and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA.

Conspiracy behind HAARP

HAARP cost more than $290 million to build. But the Air Force’s plan to destroy HAARP. The site was host to numerous projects over the years, including the creation of the first artificially produced aurora in 2005. Unfortunately, the program has been blamed for everything from global warming to natural disasters to mysterious humming noises in the sky. Online, conspiracy theorists suggest that HAARP was to blame for the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan; the Moore, Oklahoma, tornado of 2013; a landslide in 2006 in the Philippines; and many more natural disasters.

At the time, the HAARP program manager told reporters that the site was temporarily closed and locked, with only one DARPA project left to wrap up by early 2014.
