Infinix has made a bold bet with its new gaming phone. The Infinix GT 50 Pro costs Rs 69,999, nearly three times what its predecessor launched at, and the company says the jump is fine because a controller, a TV dock and a cooling fan worth Rs 24,999 are thrown in. So is the Infinix GT 50 Pro in India a smart gaming package or a pricey phone in a big box? We did the maths so your Flipkart cart does not have to.
Spoiler: the answer depends almost entirely on one question, which is how many of those three accessories you will actually use after the first weekend.
Table of Contents
Infinix GT 50 Pro India price and offers, in one place
- Price: Rs 69,999 for the only variant, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage
- Bank offer: Rs 5,000 instant discount on eligible major bank cards, which brings it to Rs 64,999
- No Cost EMI: from Rs 3,611 a month, up to 18 months on eligible cards
- Gaming kit in the box: GT NX Controller, GT NX Station and GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0, valued by Infinix at Rs 24,999
- Extras: up to 6,999 Infinix Reward Points and a 28-day JioGames Pro Pass for Rs 1 (normally Rs 499)
- First sale: 30 October on Flipkart, the Infinix India store and offline retail
- Colours: Black Abyss and Red Blaze
Small detail worth noticing: Rs 3,611 multiplied by 18 months lands at almost exactly Rs 64,999. So the “Rs 3,611 a month” headline already assumes you are using the bank discount. Pay with an ineligible card and both numbers move up.
The price jump nobody is talking about
Last year’s GT 30 Pro launched in India in June 2025 at Rs 24,999 for 8GB/256GB and Rs 26,999 for 12GB/256GB. Its optional gaming kit, a magnetic case plus cooler, cost Rs 1,199 extra.
This year the same series starts at Rs 69,999. Even if you subtract the full Rs 24,999 Infinix assigns to the bundle, the phone part alone works out to Rs 45,000. That is still about Rs 18,000 more than the top GT 30 Pro at launch. Infinix has clearly decided its GT line is no longer a budget gamer, it is a premium experiment. Fair enough, but buyers should judge it as a premium phone, not as last year’s value champion with extra lights.
What you actually get for the money
The phone
- 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED, up to 144Hz, rated up to 4,500 nits peak, Gorilla Glass 7i
- MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate (4nm) with Mali-G720 MC7 GPU
- 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 4.1 storage
- HydroFlow liquid cooling: a micro-pump moves coolant through channels you can see on the back, plus a 7,700 sq mm vapour chamber
- Pressure-sensitive GT Triggers on the shoulders
- 6,500mAh battery, 45W wired, 30W wireless, reverse charging
- 50MP main camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide, 13MP selfie
- IP64, IR blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Android 16 based XOS 16, 198 grams
The kit
- GT NX Controller (listed at Rs 10,000): clamps around the phone with Hall-effect sticks, and splits into two Bluetooth handles for supported two-player games
- GT NX Station (listed at Rs 10,999): a dock that pushes the phone screen to a TV or monitor at up to 4K 60Hz, with HDMI, USB, Ethernet and other ports
- GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 (listed at Rs 4,000): a magnetic fan with 12W thermoelectric cooling and 15W wireless charging, including bypass charging that powers the phone directly during long sessions
The CyberIntro take on the spec sheet: the chip is a strong upper-mid-range part, not a flagship one, and the camera hardware is modest for this price. You are paying for display, cooling, triggers and that kit. If gaming is not your number one use case, the GT 50 Pro makes very little sense.
The Bundle Honesty Test: what is the phone really costing you?
A free accessory is only worth what you would have paid for it anyway. So instead of trusting the Rs 24,999 sticker, count only what you will use. All figures below start from the Rs 64,999 bank-offer price and subtract Infinix’s listed accessory prices.
- You will use all three (controller, dock and cooler): effective phone price about Rs 40,000. Genuinely good value ki dukan territory.
- Controller and cooler, but no TV gaming: about Rs 50,999. Still reasonable if handheld gaming is your thing.
- Only the cooler: about Rs 60,999. Now you are paying near-flagship money for an upper-mid chip.
- None of them, they go straight into the loft: the full Rs 64,999. That is a lot for this camera and chip combination.
Be honest with yourself here. Most people who buy a controller for their phone use it for a month. A TV dock only helps if you have a free HDMI port, a sofa and games that actually support controller play well. The cooler is the one piece almost every serious mobile gamer will keep using.
Four questions before you hit Buy on 30 October
1. Do you play for more than an hour most days?
If no, stop here. Skip the GT 50 Pro and spend this budget on a phone with a better camera and longer software support promises. The liquid cooling and triggers only pay off with long sessions.
2. Do you play controller-friendly games or mostly touch shooters?
Competitive touch players often find a clamp-on controller slows them down, and the shoulder triggers already cover a lot of that need. If you live in touch-first shooters, value the controller near zero in the test above.
3. Is there a TV or monitor you can actually take over?
The NX Station is the most expensive item in the box. If the living room TV belongs to the family serial schedule, that Rs 10,999 is imaginary money. If you have your own monitor, it is real value.
4. Does your bank card qualify for the Rs 5,000 discount?
Check on the product page before sale day. Without the discount, every figure above goes up by Rs 5,000, and the EMI per month rises too. Our guide to festive effective prices shows how to peel offers like this layer by layer.
If you answered yes to the first question and at least two of the others, the GT 50 Pro is a fun, well-bundled buy. If you answered yes to only the first one, wait for reviews that test the cooling in Indian summer conditions and see whether prices or offers soften after the first sales.
Small print that can bite
- JioGames Pro Pass: Rs 1 gets you 28 days. Set a reminder before it renews at the regular price if you do not plan to keep it.
- Accessory warranty and spares: ask the seller how a faulty controller or dock gets replaced, since reports said the accessories were not yet on sale separately before launch.
- Charging: the phone tops out at 45W wired. If you plan to game in the car on a road trip, our car charger watts explainer will save you from buying the wrong adapter.
- Software: the launch coverage we read does not spell out how many Android updates the phone gets, so confirm the update policy before you treat this as a four-year phone.
Final Thought
The Infinix GT 50 Pro is not a Rs 69,999 phone and not a Rs 40,000 phone. It is whatever the Bundle Honesty Test says it is for you. Hardcore gamers who will dock, clamp and cool will find a proper double dhamaka here. Everyone else is paying premium money for accessories that will gather dust, so let this one pass and keep your budget for a better all-rounder.
