Xiaomi declared to start MIUI 11 Development

Xiaomi is now working on towards its new upcoming version of custom OS, namely MIUI 11. Xiaomi’s MIUI has always been one of the famous choices for the majority of phone users when it comes to choosing custom UIs.

Although, There was a major overhaul in MIUI 10 over MIUI 9 in terms of look, feel and design. The main priority of MIUI 10 was to provide a better and faster user experience and new full-screen gesture support. The Product Planning Department Head, Liu Ming reportedly said that MIUI 11 will be a “new and unique” OS.

It has been reported that Ming kicked off the MIUI 11 development at the event. This means that MIUI 11 will now enter the research and development phase, where new features will be chalked out, tested, and eventually rolled out to several Xiaomi phone users.

Xiaomi has always been the news of the market because of their spectacular array of smartphones available. Recent launches of devices such as Mi Mix 3 and upcoming Redmi Note 7/Pro is going to be a hit for the market as well. The MIUI 11 has been reported to be supported across all major Xiaomi devices including major phones of Redmi series line up as well.

According to Xiaomi, over 300 million users are on MIUI 10 on 40 different models that already support the stable version of the system since its initial release more than half a year ago. Although it is yet to be seen whether the MIUI 11 is going to have a design overhaul or going to be the same look-wise.

There’s also no news regarding its launch in the market. Although speculating from the launch of MIUI 10, it is expected that it will be launched somewhere in the mid of 2019.
