Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak ‘dumps’ Facebook
In lights of the famous ongoing Facebook scandal. Apple Inc’s co-founder Steve Wozniak has dumped his Facebook account. According to him he would rather pay to use Facebook than letting Facebook use him for their advertisement. In an email to USA Today, Wozniak says Facebook makes a lot of advertising money from personal details provided by users. He says the “profits are all based on the users info, but the users get none of the profits back.”
Because of the recent havoc that took place. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will testify on Capitol Hill tomorrow and Wednesday about the company’s ongoing data-privacy scandal and how it failed to guard against other abuses of its service.
Facebook has decided to change some of its privacy features and settings as well and also provided a feature for users to check what information about them is gathered by Facebook and change it’s permission accordingly. Many lawmakers from around the globe have also addressed Facebook to give a clear cut explanation on this issue.
