Android 8.1 Oreo update for Nokia 5 & 6

Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android 8.1 Oreo update starts rolling out, under the control of HMD global has launched many devices so far and the best part about them is that they have been offering quick updates too.

Be it regular security updates in OS upgrades. Nokia has always been time. So is the case here with Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 as they start receiving Android 8.1 Oreo update. They had already received 8.0 Oreo back in January and now are getting equipped with Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Android 8.1 Oreo update brings some new features like Neural Networks API, hamburger emoji fix, and developer APIs. Along with this, the update also incorporates bug fixes, latest security patches, and optimizations. After the update, the smartphones will also get battery saving navigation buttons, a new settings menu, redesigned power menu and Bluetooth battery percentage.

The Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android 8.1 Oreo update weighs 866MB and 933MB in size respectively. The company has also confirmed that it will be soon rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo update for its Nokia 2 & 3 smartphones. Soon, Nokia will launch a series of new devices as well including lights of Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 (Sirocco) and Nokia 6 (2018).
