Oppo Find X10 vs Pro Max India: Is the Rs 60,000 Jump Worth It?

The Oppo Find X10 vs Pro Max question landed in India today, 22 October, and the price gap is the whole story. The Find X10 starts at Rs 1,39,999, the Find X10 Pro Max is a single Rs 1,99,999 model, and both go on open sale on 29 October through Oppo’s store, Flipkart and Amazon, with pre-orders already live. Same 8,000mAh battery, same charging, same 200MP main camera. So what exactly does the extra money buy, and is it worth it for you?
We skipped the spec-sheet recital. Below, we split the gap into what you pay for each upgrade, show the real price after the launch card offer, check whether the Rs 24,999 Hasselblad kit changes the maths, and finish with a 4-question Find X10 Picker. Short version: most buyers should take the regular Find X10. A smaller group should go straight to the Pro Max, and we will tell you exactly who.

Oppo Find X10 vs Pro Max: India price and variants
Here are the Oppo store prices announced today:
- Find X10, 12GB + 256GB: Rs 1,39,999
- Find X10, 12GB + 512GB: Rs 1,69,999
- Find X10 Pro Max, 12GB + 512GB: Rs 1,99,999
- Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit: Rs 24,999
Colours are Glow Coral, Mist Grey and Glacier Blue for the Find X10, and Titanium Grey and Luna White for the Pro Max. The store also shows a much higher struck-out MRP next to each price (Rs 2,39,999 on the Pro Max, for example). Ignore that number. Nobody pays the struck-out MRP, so a “Rs 40,000 off” badge is not a saving you are earning. We have explained why in our guide to decoding festive effective prices.
What both phones share
This list matters because it is the stuff you get even on the cheaper phone:
- Battery: 8,000mAh typical silicon-carbon cell on both
- Charging: 80W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless on both
- Main camera: 200MP with OIS, Hasselblad tuning
- Telephoto: 200MP with OIS on both
- Front camera: 50MP autofocus
- Video: 8K at 30fps, 4K up to 120fps with Dolby Vision
- Display tech: LTPO, 1Hz to 120Hz, up to 144Hz in supported games
- Toughness: IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings
- Memory and software: 12GB RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, ColorOS 17 on Android 17, plus a customisable Snap Key
Basically, the “boring” half of a phone, the part that decides whether you hunt for a charger at 6 pm, is identical. If battery is your top priority, the Find X10 already gives you the full 8,000mAh. Our big-battery phone maths explains why a cell this size is plenty for most people.
What the Pro Max adds
- Ultra-wide camera: 200MP on the Pro Max versus 50MP on the Find X10, which gives three 200MP rear cameras in total
- Telephoto: 3x optical with a brighter f/2.1 lens, versus 2.8x at f/2.6 on the Find X10
- Screen: 6.78-inch flat panel versus 6.59-inch
- Chip: Dimensity 9600 Pro versus Dimensity 9600M
- Weight: about 233 to 235g versus about 216g
Notice that last point. The Pro Max is not just better, it is heavier by roughly 18g. That is a real trade if you scroll in bed or hold the phone on a long metro ride.
The gap, split into rupees
Here is the clean way to think about it. There are two separate jumps, and you should judge each one on its own.
Jump 1: 256GB to 512GB on the Find X10 costs Rs 30,000
That is pure storage. Nothing else changes. If you shoot a lot of 8K or 4K 120fps video, or you keep 200MP photos at full resolution, 256GB can fill up faster than you expect. If you mostly shoot normal photos, back them up to the cloud and stream your music, 256GB is fine, and Rs 30,000 is a lot of money to pay for headroom you may never touch.
Jump 2: Find X10 512GB to Pro Max costs another Rs 30,000
Same storage now, so this Rs 30,000 buys only the hardware list above. Our rough way to split it, based on what each upgrade actually does for a typical owner:
- Brighter 3x telephoto: the most useful upgrade, because zoom shots at weddings, concerts and indoor events are where a darker lens struggles
- 200MP ultra-wide: nice for landscapes and group photos you plan to crop, but most people use ultra-wide a few times a month
- Bigger screen and faster chip variant: pleasant, not life-changing, since both chips are from the same flagship family
Over a three-year ownership, that second Rs 30,000 works out to roughly Rs 27 a day. Ek cutting chai daily, basically, for better zoom and a bigger screen. That framing helps: if you would happily pay a chai a day for noticeably better event photos, the Pro Max makes sense. If you would rather keep the chai, it does not.

The real price after the launch card offer
Oppo’s launch offers include a 12% instant discount on eligible cards, capped at Rs 16,799 on the Find X10 and Rs 23,999 on the Pro Max, exchange bonuses of up to Rs 8,000, and EMI listed from about Rs 5,833 a month on the Find X10 and Rs 8,333 a month on the Pro Max. There is also a free gift box. Treat these as conditional, not as the price, because they depend on which card you hold and what you trade in.
If you do have an eligible card, here is what you would pay (our maths, using the caps above):
- Find X10 256GB: about Rs 1,23,200
- Find X10 512GB: about Rs 1,53,200 (the Rs 16,799 cap bites before 12%)
- Find X10 Pro Max: about Rs 1,76,000
Interesting twist: with the card offer, the Pro Max over the 512GB Find X10 shrinks from Rs 30,000 to about Rs 22,800, because the Pro Max cap is higher. So if you were already leaning to 512GB and you have the right card, the Pro Max becomes a little easier to justify.
On EMI, those monthly figures are the full price split over 24 months. Before you sign, check whether your specific card and tenure are genuinely no-cost or only partly, and look for the processing fee. Our No Cost EMI hidden charges breakdown shows where the extra rupees hide.
Does the Rs 24,999 Hasselblad kit change the answer?
Oppo is selling a Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit for Rs 24,999 on the same day as the phones, and its own promos pitch it for long-distance shots on the Find X10 series. That creates a fun option: Find X10 256GB plus the kit costs Rs 1,64,998, still Rs 35,001 less than the Pro Max.
Our take: the kit is for people who will actually carry an accessory and clip it on for birding, sports from the stands or wildlife trips. It is not for “might be nice” zoom. If you would leave it in a drawer, skip it and either stick with the Find X10 as is, or put the money toward the Pro Max for a better built-in telephoto that is always with you. Check the store page for exactly which models the kit fits before you add it to cart.
How it stacks up against the iPhone
At this price, plenty of buyers are also eyeing Apple. For context, the iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB is Rs 1,79,900 in India, as we covered in our iPhone Duo India buying guide. The Find X10 Pro Max costs Rs 20,099 more on paper, but gives you 512GB instead of 256GB and a bigger battery. If you live inside the Apple ecosystem, none of that will move you, and that is fine. If you are on Android already, the Oppo pair is a serious flagship option this festive season.
The Find X10 Picker: 4 questions
Answer in order and stop at the first one that catches you.
- Do you regularly shoot zoom photos indoors or at night, like weddings, concerts and school functions? If yes, BUY PRO MAX. The brighter 3x lens is the one upgrade you will feel every week.
- Do you shoot a lot of 4K 120fps or 8K video, or never delete anything? If yes, you need 512GB. With an eligible card, the Pro Max is only about Rs 22,800 more than the 512GB Find X10, so BUY PRO MAX if your budget stretches, otherwise BUY FIND X10 512GB.
- Do you care more about a lighter phone than a bigger screen? If yes, BUY FIND X10 256GB. You keep the full battery and the 200MP main and telephoto cameras.
- Not sure yet, or no eligible card? WAIT until the 29 October sale and the first proper camera reviews. Pre-orders are not going anywhere, and card offers on Flipkart and Amazon may differ from Oppo’s store.
If none of the first three caught you, the Find X10 256GB is the value pick of this launch. It is where most of the Find X10 magic already lives.
Final Thought
The Pro Max is the show-off, and the triple 200MP headline will sell plenty of them. But the regular Find X10 quietly gives you the same battery, the same charging and the same 200MP main and telephoto cameras for Rs 60,000 less. Buy the Pro Max only if zoom in low light is a regular part of your life. For everyone else, the Find X10 256GB is the smart money, and the change left over is a very decent Diwali bonus.
