Moto G6 launch, Motorola revamps the Moto Camera app

Motorola is all set to launch new devices this month including the likes of Moto G6, G6 Play, and G6 Plus. But, in the meanwhile, Lenovo-owned Motorola has brought a new revamped version of the camera app for it decides.

The new app might come pre-installed on the new upcoming devices. The older devices will slowly get through OTA update as well in a phased manner. The overhaul is not only restricted to the Camera app UI but also includes the app icon. In place of the hexagonal icon, Motorola has now opted for a more standard icon against a plain dark blue background. The Moto Camera app UI has been given a modern look, with simplicity being the theme. On the top, you get options to toggle HDR Mode, Flashlight and tweaking Manual Mode as well. On April 19, Motorola is expected to take the wraps off three smartphones Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and the Moto G6 Plus.

The Moto G6 Play is likely to be the entry-level device. It is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 427 SoC, a single-camera setup at the back, and a 4,000mAh battery. Next up will be the Moto G6, which is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 450 SoC, 32GB onboard storage, dual-camera setup, a 3,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor. The most expensive of the three will be the Moto G6 Plus. Being a ‘Plus’ variant, it is likely to feature a 5.93-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC.
